Issue
I already have a Sentry account but can't log in using the "Login with Google" option.
Applies To
- Paid organisations on Team, Business or Enterprise plans.
- Sponsored Organisatrions.
Symptoms
- You get the message "Hi there! We couldn't find a Sentry account with a verified email
matching your Google email" - You are prompted to create a new organisation instead of accessing yours.
Resolution
If you already have a Sentry account, follow these steps:
- Login to this page account using Email + Password (click here if you forgot your password). This will take you to your User settings -> Email addresses page.
- Add and/or verify your Google email address.
- Log out
- Try to login again using Login with Google option.
The "Login with Google" option uses a regular OAuth login and is not enforced by the organisation owner. When using this option for the first time, you need to have an existing Sentry user with a verified email address address matching your Google account.
Sentry only creates a user with JIT (Just-in-time) provisioning for Google accounts when Google SSO is configured.
