Issue
I had an event that should have triggered my alert but it didn't. Is it because the Issue is archived?

Resolution
Yes, archiving an issue will pause alerts on it until it leaves archived state. Sentry will automatically bring an issue back to the top of the list and change its status to Escalating if the events in that issue significantly increase over a short period of time.
