We are updating our Developer plan. Starting July 11, you will see changes in event volumes and available features.
-
New event type: spans
Instead of performance units, you’ll see a new event type called spans which powers our new tracing experience. The Developer plan will offer 10 million spans per month (replacing 10k performance units), allowing you to trace slowdowns and errors across your services, giving you deeper insights into your code.
With the update to spans, the existing functionality for performance monitoring will not be impacted.

Changes to plan volumes
With the launch of Tracing, we took the opportunity to right-size event volumes that are included on the Developer plan. Your plan will have 10M spans available. Below is a summary of the monthly event volumes available to you:
- 5K errors
- 50 replays
- 10M spans
- 1 cron monitor
- 1GB attachments

Performance modules are moving to the Business plan
Previously known as performance modules, you may have used “Web Vitals” and “Queries.” These modules will be consolidated into a new offering called “Insights” which is only available on the Business plan.
Below is a list of existing modules that will be included under Insights:
- Queries
- Requests
- Web Vitals
- Screen Loads
- App Starts
- Resources
In addition, we will be introducing new Insights including:
- LLM monitoring
- Caches
- Queues
On July 11th, Insights will no longer be available on the Developer or Team plan. To restore access to Insights, upgrade to the Business plan.
