Issue
An Issue Alert is not triggered for an error captured in Sentry. Despite the error being present in the dashboard, the expected alert did not produce a notification.

Symptoms

No alert notifications were sent, despite the alert triggering in the past for the same group of errors
- The alert rule triggered for an error in the past (when the issue was initially created), but did not trigger when the error was seen more recently
Resolution
If you wish to trigger an alert on every error event, make sure that your alert conditions are not configured to trigger only when a new issue is created:
- The default "When" condition for Alert rules is "A new issue is created"
- "When" condtions are optional
- If all "When" conditions are removed all error events will meet the "When" condition
Please note: alert rule actions/notifications will only trigger once during the "Action Interval" period (per group of errors/issue group).
