Why am I unable to assign an issue or alert to a team?

Issue

I'm trying to assign an issue or an alert rule to a team but I get the following error in the UI: You can only assign teams you are a member of

Applies To

• All Organisations
• Open Team Membership Disabled

Resolution

This is expected and intended behaviour to prevent IDOR vulnerability. 

There are two options in this case:

• Add the user to the team you want to assign the issue/alert to.
• Enable Open Team Membership.
