Issue
I used the merge-feature to merge multiple issues into one. Some automated suggestion in the UI suggested me to automatically select similar issues, which resulted in a huge selection. I did not realize this and hit merge on this huge selection, this resulted in thousands of events from multiple hundreds of issues.
Now the grouped issue is so generic that it matches too many individual issues. The only option to undo this I have found is to manually select issues from the previously grouped issues to ungroup them, which would take a long time for me.
Is there another way to revert this merging of issues or at least mark all the individual issues as resolved so they are raised as their own issue the next time they reoccur?

Resolution
For your case it is definitely important to unmerge these issues to ensure correct grouping in the future. Unfortunately, we don't have an "unmerge all" option in the UI yet.
To split these issues again, you would need to go to the "Merged Issues" tab, select the tick box of every issue you want unmerged, and then click on "Unmerge", which as mentioned requires a bit of manual work.
If you were to delete them all, then new issues should be grouped separately based on Sentry's normal grouping algorithm.
We recommend taking a look at the following article on how to alter Sentry's grouping behavior: Why Are My Events Grouped or Separated Incorrectly in Sentry?
