Issue
I have set up Issue Alerts for Slack and they work great, but I don't understand under what conditions the Sentry app will reply in a thread of a Slack alert.

Resolution
Slack threads will be created for Issue Alerts under the following 2 circumstances:
- Users see updates on slack threads when any team member takes an action - resolving, archiving, linking a ticket
- If an alert rule notifies the same issue again then we respond in the thread of the original issue alert and send it to the channel too helping devs see context about the issue in a single thread
You can always disable Slack threads by going to your Organization's Settings > Integrations > Slack > Features. This setting can be changed by users with the Manager or Owner role only.
