Issue
Users at times may need to reinstall an integration if some link has broken. It is not clear what data is kept and what is lost upon deletion and re-installation.
Applies To
- All Sentry Users
- Any Issue Tracking Integration (example: GitLab, GitHub, Jira, etc.)
- Other First-Party Sentry Integrations
Resolution
Everything on the Integration settings page will be removed. Direct dependents on options set on the integration settings page will also be removed. For example, deleting the Github integration, will remove all set Code Mappings in the integrations options page. CODE OWNERS depends on Code Mappings set up properly, so the file and any synced rules will be removed.
Linked Issues will lose the link while the integration is deleted. The links themselves are not deleted. Upon re-installation, the links are preserved and should automatically re-link as long nothing changed on the integration's side.
