Yes, there are a couple of ways to change the issue title:

On the SDK side

Use beforeSend: This is the last thing the event passes by before being sent to Sentry. Here, you can change anything about the event, including its title - usually along the lines of
event.exception.values[0].type
or the equivalent for the SDK of your choice -
Throw your exceptions manually: You can use
Sentry.captureException("My custom title");
or the equivalent for the SDK of your choice

- Fingerprint rules: These are usually used to modify the grouping behavior of issues, but you can also use them to change an event's title. Please find how this can be done here.
